Anneli Uusküla is a professor at the Department of Public Health, and physician practicing Dermatovenerology at the University of Tartu, Estonia. She has been in medicine and public health for over 20 years. Dr. Uusküla has received a number of research grants and continues to have ongoing financial support for the research in the fields of HIV, sexually transmitted infections and injection drug use from the United States National Institutes of Health, European Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and UNAIDS/National Centre in HIV Epidemiology and Clinical Research. She also serves as a member and a technical expert for several highly reputable professional organizations such as the European Medicines Agency (EMEA), European Center for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC), and Estonian Research Council.
