“Our study provides early evidence that contact tracing in HCV may be possible. Not only was the program successful at notifying and testing potentially high-risk PWIDs of their exposure to HCV, it was successful at linking several previously unengaged PWIDs into HCV treatment and more broadly harm reduction services, such as clean needle distribution, available at the SSP” (p. 75)..
