PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This mixed-methods study sought to more fully explicate the dynamics associated with accessing care among young men who have sex with men (YMSM).
The study:
- Identified the extent to which YMSM have access to healthcare facilities that serve the LGBT population;
- Disentangled the roles that sexual orientation and sexual behavior may play in preventing the access of consistent and appropriate care for YMSM, and
- Delineated the patterns by which YMSM transition from healthcare from adolescence to young adulthood and pre and post coming out.
