PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project addressed the public health threat of the sexually transmitted infections epidemic by accessing the availability of Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT). The study aimed to determine if there are disparities in pharmacy-level access based on neighborhood resources. Using a secret shopper approach, the study audited New York City pharmacies to evaluate their willingness to dispense electronic EPT prescriptions. The research also assessed the relationship between neighborhood-level Social Vulnerability Index scores and accessibility to EPT prescriptions, hypothesizing that areas with higher vulnerability may experience greater barriers to access.
