BIO
Daniel Baslock is an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Social Work. He received his MSW and PhD from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and was a pre-doctoral fellow in the NIDA funded T32 Behavioral Science Training Program. Dr. Baslock’s research addresses how social policy and behavioral health organizational factors shape the adoption of evidence-based practices for mental health and substance use treatment. His past work has focused on behavioral health financing mechanisms, practice regulations, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics, social work supervision, and documentation of behavioral health services in practice.
