PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The objectives of this study are to:
- Evaluate the acceptability and usability of the EQQUAL (Empowered, Queer, Quitting, and Living) program among sexual and gender minority people of color living with HIV who smoke,
- Explore what adaptations are needed in EQQUAL to enhance acceptability, feasibility, and efficacy for sexual and gender minority (SGM) men of color living with HIV, and
- Explore relationships among changes in smoking behavior and mental health, other substance use, and antiretroviral therapy (ART) adherence among participants.
This project will assist in producing a scalable, accessible, and low-cost intervention that addresses smoking among SGM men of color with HIV.
