The project developed and disseminated an evidence-based healthcare professional training program to counsel smokers to stop smoking and establish smoke-free homes. Participants were recruited via physicians and nurses who counseled pregnant women who smoke or who have current smokers in their households.

This study will help to achieve better maternal and child health outcomes through women either quitting smoking and/or establishing a smoke-free home.
